At Virtual Bookkeeping Consultants, our story begins with a simple idea: every business—no matter its size—deserves financial clarity and a trusted partner in its corner.

Founded by a team of entrepreneur financial professionals, VBC was created to bridge the gap between small businesses and the kind of strategic bookkeeping support typically reserved for larger firms. We met too many business owners buried in back-office tasks, uncertain about where their money was going, and working harder than ever without a clear financial roadmap. We believed there was a better way—and we set out to create it.

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer of Virtual Bookkeeping Consultants, Nicole brings a blend of strategic leadership and operational know-how. With a strong background in business operations and team management, she creates the systems that keep things running efficiently. Nicole’s commitment to excellence supports both our team and our clients in achieving lasting success.

Stacey Koon

Chief Executive Officer

With over 25 years of experience, Stacey is a detail-oriented bookkeeping professional with a passion for helping businesses thrive. Her background in bookkeeping, payroll, and HR—spanning multiple industries—gives her valuable insight into the financial challenges business owners face. Stacey’s focus on accuracy and transparency ensures clients have clear, organized financials they can trust.


Stephenie C.

Senior Bookkeeper

Stephenie has over 10 years of experience in finance, bookkeeping, and business consulting, specializing in accounts payable, vendor management, and payroll for small businesses. She holds an MBA in Business Administration and Digital Marketing, a B.A. in Labor and Employment Relations, and graduate certificates in Accounting and Taxation. As a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and CMA candidate, Stephenie helps organizations gain clarity in their numbers and improve financial processes so they can focus on growth. Outside of work, she enjoys her agricultural roots, managing a small horse and beef operation with her family.

Jennifer F.

Senior Bookkeeper

Jennifer's educational background is in Developmental Psychology and Early Childhood Education.  She was introduced to accounting and became a certified bookkeeper in high school as a way to pay for college and she has worked in Bookkeeping and accounting in some fashion ever since.

Jennifer has been working in fractional bookkeeping or business management for over 26 years.

The reason she likes the work she does it because organizing large data sets and numbers in financial data and ensuring accuracy can be very fulfilling.

In her free time, Jennifer reads 3-4 books a month and really likes hard rock music.

Erica H.

Senior Bookkeeper

Erica has been working in the accounting field since 1993, bringing over 30 years of experience to her role as Senior Bookkeeper. She holds an Associate’s degree from the University of Phoenix, an Accounting Certification from Lincoln Land Community College, and has completed continuing education at DeVry University. Erica enjoys working with clients who are committed to improving their record keeping. She specializes in investigating and resolving accounting issues, creating clear plans, and implementing effective solutions. Outside of work, Erica and her husband are avid dart players who travel nationwide to compete in tournaments.

Kennedy H.

Online Business Manager / Virtual Assistant

Kennedy is an experienced Online Business Manager and Virtual Assistant with a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Entrepreneurship. She provides high-level administrative, operational, and strategic support to business owners, specializing in process optimization and project coordination. Kennedy enjoys helping entrepreneurs streamline operations and offboard day-to-day tasks, allowing them to focus on growth and big-picture goals. Outside of work, Kennedy enjoys sewing, specializing in wedding dresses and designing her own clothing.
